Positive: Good location if you have a car, and free parking. There were adequate facilities, such as electric cooker, microwave, washing machine, and two mobile radiator heaters
Negative: Potentially, could have been great, but cost-cutting on facilities and lack of care made it a bad experience. Examples: Two wall-mounted heaters did not work. The pillows in one of the bedrooms - which did not have a working wall-mounted heater - stank and the quilt and sheets were damp. The bedroom we used did not have those issues, but the double bed was extremely bouncy and gave little to no support, which meant we did not sleep well for the duration of our stay. The vertical blinds in the bedrooms and living room do not overlap sufficiently, so there is no privacy. The toilet seat was not aligned properly, and there was mold in the shower. The frying pan was old, rusty and scratched, and one of the two saucepans had been burnt by a previous occupant, so we only use one saucepan and the oven for all of our cooking. I complained to the manager - the business that operates several properties - but NOTHING was done about these issues. Regarding the fact two wall-mounted heaters do not work, I was sent a message that the two mobile radiators do work and that I could get help locating them if I could not find them. Was this a snide remark, or a genuine attempt to be helpful? The local property manager was in too much of a hurry to make sure everything worked (e.g. heaters did not work) and was clean (cookware was old and dirty, bedding damp and smelly). Only when pressured to talk us through how to operate the various appliances did she do so, and said full instructions were given in an online manual. However, the online manual just lists some features, but does not give instructions. The are no external lights where the cars are parked - a muddy track under a row of large trees, and it was pitch black. Without using the light on my cellphone it would have been dangerous. This could have been a very nice property for a short stay, but for the issues I've already described, I would not recommend staying here unless those issues are sorted.
Summary: Could have been better, but poorly managed.
